Where is Arrowhead Veterinary Clinic located?

We are located at 515 E. Durham Ave., Dewey, OK 74029. We serve pet owners in Bartlesville, Dewey, Copan, Ramona, Nowata, Ochelata, Pawhuska, Wann, Caney (KS), and surrounding communities across northeast Oklahoma.

What are your clinic hours?

We are open 7 days a week, Monday through Sunday, from 7:30am to 5:30pm. We are one of the few veterinary clinics in the area open every day of the week for your convenience.

How do I schedule an appointment?

You can book online through our appointment page or call us directly at (918) 534-1958 during clinic hours. For new clients, we recommend visiting our New Clients page to learn what to expect and download your intake forms in advance.

Do you accept new clients?

Yes — we welcome new clients and their pets! New clients receive a complimentary exam for one pet on their first visit. Visit our New Clients page to access the coupon (no printing required — just show it on your phone).

What types of animals do you treat?

We see dogs, cats, and a wide variety of exotic animals including rabbits, birds, reptiles, small mammals, ferrets, hedgehogs, sugar gliders, fish, chickens, ducks, sheep, and goats. Visit our Exotics page for the full species list.

We offer a comprehensive range of services including preventative healthcare, dentistry, diagnostic services, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, boarding, microchipping, nutrition counseling, exotic animal care, urgent care, and more. View our full Services page.

Do you provide urgent or same-day care?

Yes. We offer urgent care 7 days a week for pets in stable condition who need same-day or next-day attention. Our clinic is equipped with in-house labs, x-ray, and point-of-care ultrasound to handle many urgent situations. Who are the veterinarians at Arrowhead Veterinary Clinic?

Our veterinary team includes Dr. Erin Haxton DVM (preventive medicine, internal medicine, surgery), Dr. Samantha Ketcher DVM (orthopedic surgery, exotic animal medicine), and Dr. Ashley Knott DVM (Fear Free certified, preventive care). Learn more on our Doctors page.

What are your vaccination requirements for boarding?

All boarding guests must be current on required vaccinations prior to their stay. Dogs must be vaccinated for Distemper, Adenovirus, Parvovirus, Leptospirosis, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats must be vaccinated for Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia, and Rabies. Download the boarding form at our Online Forms page.

How much does boarding cost?

Boarding rates are $30/day for dogs ($15/day for additional pets) and $20/day for cats ($10/day for additional pets). A daily medicating fee of $3.75 applies if your pet requires medication during their stay. Learn more on our Boarding page.

Do you offer wellness plans?

Yes. Our Annual Wellness Plans are available for puppies, kittens, adult dogs, adult cats, senior dogs, and senior cats. Plans bundle preventive care into a monthly payment and include discounts on services throughout the year. Enroll at signup.snoutplans.com.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and cash. We also offer financing through CareCredit, ScratchPay, and Cherry Pay, as well as pet insurance (including Trupanion direct pay). Learn more on our Payment Options page.

Do you perform orthopedic surgery?

Yes. Dr. Samantha Ketcher specializes in orthopedic surgery and performs procedures including TTA (tibial tuberosity advancement), lateral suture repair, medial patella luxation (MPL) correction, fracture repair, and femoral head and neck osteotomy (FHNO).

How do I know if my pet has dental disease?

Common signs include bad breath, difficulty eating, pawing at the mouth, red or swollen gums, and loose teeth. Dental disease is the most common health diagnosis in pets — the majority show signs by age 3. Learn more on our Dentistry page and schedule a dental exam.

What should I do if my pet has an after-hours emergency?

We refer our clients to Oklahoma Veterinary Specialists (OVS) for after-hours emergency care. OVS is a 24-hour intensive care and specialty hospital located at 1501 West 78th Street South, Tulsa, OK 74132. Phone: 918-299-4900.

Can I get my pet microchipped at Arrowhead?

Yes. We use HomeAgain microchips, which provide a unique and permanent form of identification. Implantation is safe and most pets tolerate it without sedation. If you find a lost pet, we’ll scan for a microchip at no charge. Learn more on our Microchip Implantation page.
